About the Scholarship Program

We offer a limited number of scholarships each year to eligible professionals based in the Hunter Region. Our scholarship program runs throughout the year, with application periods open for specific sectors at different times. Each scholarship provides access to a fully funded professional course tailored to individuals pursuing career development in the following fields:

Submissions are now open for our Technology Scholarship through to Wednesday 30th April, 2025. Following this, the successful applicant will be notified. The training course must be completed within 3 months of selection.

Course – Project Management Essentials

  • Training Provider – AIM
  • Duration – 1 day 
  • Delivery Method – Virtual or in person

Eligibility Criteria.

To qualify for this round of our Technology Scholarship Program individuals must meet the following criteria:

+ Reside in the Hunter Region
+ Must be prepared to seek approval from employer to complete course if in work hours.
+ Must be working within an aligned industry to the sector and demonstrate how the scholarship program will benefit the individual in their career.
+ If choosing to complete the training course "in person" rather than online, must be prepared to organise travel and accommodation at own cost - no costs will be incurred for the online course.

How it Works.

We hold a number of application rounds each year for different sectors. Each application window will remain open for over six weeks, giving candidates ample time to apply. All training offered through the Scholarship Program will be provided by leading training providers and aligned to desirable or in demand skills within each sector.

Selection

The successful applicant will be advised and provided with course dates for selection.

We will book in your course and advise details. All courses are no more than 1-day and generally offered online.

Completion

On completion of the training course you will be provided with a certification or certificate.

You will also gain access to GWG Recruitment’s career resources, mentorship, networking and job opportunities.

    The scholarship covers the full cost of the training course. If an in-person course is chosen, recipients must arrange and cover their own travel and accommodation costs.

    Yes, but if the course occurs during work hours, you must obtain approval from your employer before finalising your participation.
